Sailing Into the Future: Remember Hiroshima & Nagasaki; Abolish Nuclear Weapons

Please join us as we explore the present dangers and possibilities for a more hopeful future 77 years after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

We will view a video about the the Golden Rule (pictured above) and her courageous crew, Dr. Maureen McCue will speak on the historic and present dangers of nuclear war, and John Jadryev will describe the voyage of the Golden Rule down the Mississippi this fall (including educational events in Iowa communities).

JCUNA's Barbara Eckstein will open with a short presentation in recognition of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, also August 9.

Admission free, but free-will donations for the work and voyage of the Golden Rule will be gratefully accepted.

This event is co-sponsored by Iowa Physicians for Social Responsibility, Veterans For Peace -- Chapter 161, Peace Iowa, and the Johnson County Chapter of UNA-USA.
